Quick estimate
Warm Chestnut is a rich, honeyed engineered European oak herringbone floor, built from a 4mm oak veneer over a 15mm engineered core. It's the colourway most customers pick for classic and transitional Melbourne homes.
Warm Chestnut herringbone flooring is a 4mm European oak veneer, engineered over a 15mm total-thickness core, laid in individual 600 x 125mm planks at the traditional 45-degree herringbone angle. This is the engineered European oak herringbone edition of Warm Chestnut - a different, higher-end product to our SPC Hybrid Warm Chestnut range, built from a genuine oak veneer rather than a printed hybrid surface.
Honey and chestnut tones don't date the way stark white or very dark floors can, which is why this is typically the safest, most-requested colourway for renovations that need to feel established rather than trend-driven. It reads warm against brass hardware, timber joinery and heritage detailing.
Confusing this product with the SPC Hybrid Warm Chestnut herringbone range when ordering or quoting - always specify "engineered European oak" for this product, since the two ranges have different pricing, construction and installation requirements.
Supply-only or supply-and-install options are available: choose supply-only if you already have a trusted installer, or supply-and-install if you want the work double-guaranteed by both the installer and LocalTasker. If you're after something cooler-toned, have a look at Zen or Latte, browse the full herringbone collection, or ask us about installation services.
No - this is a genuine 4mm European oak veneer product; the SPC Hybrid Warm Chestnut is a different, hybrid-core product at a different price point.
Yes - mid-tone honey and chestnut floors are generally considered the most broadly appealing colourway for resale, as they suit the widest range of furniture and decor styles.
