Product Description

Latte is a warm, milky-light engineered European oak herringbone floor, built from a 4mm oak veneer over a 15mm total engineered construction. It suits bright, north-facing rooms and Scandinavian-leaning interiors that want warmth without a dark or heavily grained floor.

Latte oak herringbone flooring is a 4mm European oak veneer, engineered over a 15mm total-thickness core, laid in individual 600 x 125mm planks at the traditional 45-degree herringbone angle.

What does Latte look like in a room?

A warm, milky-light tone - lighter than a honey or chestnut oak, warmer than a grey or white-washed floor. It reads well against timber joinery, brass fixtures and pale, neutral colour schemes, and it doesn't visually compete with other timber tones already in a room the way a darker floor can.

Key specs at a glance:

  • 4mm genuine European oak veneer over a 15mm engineered core
  • Wire-brushed matte lacquer finish
  • Tongue-and-groove micro-bevel profile
  • FSC-certified, E0-rated for low formaldehyde emissions
  • 25-year residential structural warranty

Should you choose herringbone or standard plank in Latte?

Herringbone suits period homes, formal living and dining rooms, and any space where you want the floor pattern itself to be a design feature. Standard straight-plank suits larger open-plan areas where you want the floor to recede visually rather than draw the eye.

Avoid this mistake:

Herringbone is only as straight as its starting point - installers who don't chalk-line a true, square centre line before laying the first boards end up with a pattern that visibly drifts out of alignment by the far wall. Always confirm your installer sets out the room before the first plank goes down.

Available as supply-only or supply-and-install: choose supply-only if you already have a trusted installer, or supply-and-install if you want the work double-guaranteed by both the installer and LocalTasker. If Latte's tone is lighter than you're after, explore our Natural Smoked Oak or Warm Chestnut herringbone, browse the full herringbone collection, or talk to us about professional herringbone installation.

FAQ

Is Latte a light or dark oak colour?

Latte is a light, warm, milky oak tone - one of the lightest colourways in our herringbone range.

What thickness is Latte herringbone flooring?

A 4mm European oak veneer over an engineered core, 15mm total thickness.

Can Latte herringbone flooring be installed in a north-facing room?

Yes - its light tone is well suited to rooms with strong natural light, where it reflects rather than absorbs brightness.
